Service Terms

These terms explain our call-out charges, payment requirements, quotation process and workmanship commitment.

Call-out charges

  • Standard call-out: from R750 — includes travel within our service area and the first 30 minutes of assessment.
  • Emergency call-out: R1,250.
  • After-hours call-out: R1,500 — before 09:00 or after 17:00 Monday–Friday, and before 09:00 or after 13:00 Saturday.
  • Sunday and public-holiday emergency availability: R1,750.
  • These charges cover call-out and assessment. Repairs, additional labour and materials are quoted before work begins.

Payment and invoice due date

  • 50% deposit is payable before work starts, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
  • The remaining 50% is payable immediately on completion.
  • Invoices are due immediately on issue unless a different due date is printed on the invoice.
  • ElectroPlumbPro is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT.

Quote validity and variations

  • Quotations are valid for seven calendar days from the issue date.
  • Hidden defects, changed scope, access restrictions, specialist equipment and additional materials may change the price.
  • We obtain customer approval before proceeding with additional chargeable work.

Cancellations, deposits and refunds

  • Please provide at least two hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
  • Deposits may be applied to approved travel, time, work already performed or specially ordered materials.
  • Any approved refundable balance is processed within seven business days.
  • No refund is due for work completed in accordance with the approved quotation.

Workmanship guarantee

  • Approved workmanship is covered for 90 days from completion.
  • Where a defect is directly attributable to our workmanship, we will inspect and rectify it at no additional labour charge.
  • Parts and equipment remain subject to applicable manufacturer warranties.
  • This guarantee does not exclude or limit rights provided by South African consumer-protection law.
  • It excludes misuse, pre-existing defects, third-party work, normal wear, power or water-supply problems and unauthorised changes.

Electrical CoC authorisation

  • John Mathe is legally authorised to issue an electrical Certificate of Compliance (CoC).
  • A CoC is issued only if the installation meets applicable requirements.
  • An inspection alone does not guarantee a certificate. Rectification and reinspection are quoted separately.

Emergency safety

  • For fire, exposed live conductors or water near live equipment, move to safety and contact emergency services.
  • The five-minute commitment means acknowledgement of complete requests during monitored operating hours; it is not a guaranteed arrival time.
